Belarus’ delegation in Nicaragua on visit

MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) — A Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Aleksandr Yegorov is on a working visit to Nicaragua, BelTA has learned.

“It is a great honor for us to visit Nicaragua. The goal of the current visit is to implement the agreements reached between the two heads of state,” Aleksandr Yegorov said.

He met with Laureano Facundo Ortega Murillo, Nicaragua’s Presidential Adviser on Investment, Trade and International Cooperation, and Vice President Rosario Murillo. The Nicaragua’s presidential adviser reaffirmed the country’s  commitment to expand interaction with Belarus. According to him, the visit is aimed at strengthening cooperation and fraternity between the two countries, and also the development of programs on equipment supplies to Nicaragua.

Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of Belarus Sergei Stolyarchuk said earlier that more than $40 million worth of contracts were expected to be signed with Nicaragua this year.
